1. The Challenge will be open to any team who has an idea. The only condition for applying is that the Team must be led by at least one SVKM student. The SVKM student(s) must be a substantive member(s) of the founding team, and a committed leader of the venture.
  2. An SVKM student is any student who is currently affiliated with SVKM schools and/or colleges (including NMIMS Colleges) studying on any of the campuses.
  3. Team: The Team Leader must be an SVKM student. There is no restriction on the criteria for other team members. Team may have 1 to a maximum of 8 members inclusive of the team member.
  4. There is no restriction on the number of teams that can participate from a college.
  5. The last date for submission of entries for Round 1 of the Chancellor Challenge is mentioned in the timeline.  Please note no extension will be granted and any submission made after deadline will not be accepted.
  6. One person cannot be a part of more than one team.
  7. The decisions of the organizers and the panel of judges will be final and binding on all the participants.
  8. The name of your institute/organization should not appear anywhere in the body/content of the Business Plan.
  9. Teams should always use their Team Leader’s SAP ID for any future correspondence.
  10. The team leader has the power to add or remove team members until the submission of Stage 2: Comprehensive Business Plan. After submitting of the comprehensive business plan, Team Leaders would not be able to make any changes to the team members.
  11. Teams having members belonging to multiple teams will be disqualified at the discretion of the Organizing body.
  12. The Team Leader cannot change his team.
  13. Judging criteria would include:
    1. The commercial potential of the business, with high-potential, growth and impact oriented businesses likely to be viewed more favorably.
    2. The innovative nature and technical feasibility of the idea.
    3. The likelihood that the business described in the plan can achieve a sustainable, competitive advantage.
    4. The credibility of the individuals behind the proposal.
  14. The Judges / Organizing Committee may disqualify any application they believe violates the letter or spirit of the Competition guidelines.
  15. All guidelines are subject to change without any prior notice at the sole discretion of the Organizing Committee.
